Jackson Rathbone s-a nascut pe 21 decembrie 1984 in Singapore unde a trait o parte din copilarie,ca mai apoi sa se mute in Midland,Texas.Incepe teatrul in Midland alaturi de tineri actori in programul "The Pickwick Actors".

Rathbone a participat la Academia de Arte Interlochen,o scoala privata de arte din Michigan iar dupa absolvire dorind sa continue la Royal Scottish Academy,insa a decis sa mearga la Los Angeles pentru a-si incerca norocul pe marile ecrane.
Si-a inceput cariera cu roluri in seriale de televiziune precum "Alaturi de casa ", "The OC", "Beautiful people".
Pe marele ecran a debutat in roluri secundare in filme precum "Big Stan", "Rani", "Tineri din nou" precum si in filmul de mare succes "Twilight", interpretandu-l pe Jasper Hale.
Pentru viitor a semnat deja cu producatorii pentru rolul lui Jasper Hale din filmul "New Moon", continuarea povestii din Twilight. Va mai aparea si in filmele "Dread", "S.Darko" si "The Last Airbender" care sunt in decurs de filmare.
